Brief Introduction Sheet piles are thin interlocking steel sheets. They are designed as temporary retaining wall or cofferdams erected to enable subsequent temporary or permanent works, such as bulk excavation and pile cap works. Sheet piles have the advantages of easy handling and driving. They are also light weight, reusable and easy to adapt to the required length by welding. Sheet piles are installed by jacking, driving or vibrating them to the required depth.
